Monroe, CT- It was announced today that a portion of the building at 580 Pepper Street in Monroe has been leased to a toy manufacturing company. Milton & Goose, which contracts with a Pennsylvania manufacturing company, will be relocating their production to the Monroe building. According to Bruce Wettenstein, SIOR and Partner with Vidal/Wettenstein, the company intends to set up a production line to fabricate wooden toys which are sold both online and in stores. The Town of Monroe had originally zoned the portion of the building as warehouse, but had issued a variance to allow manufacturing. “The fact that new jobs will be coming from out of state helped the process,” says Wettenstein. Terms of the lease were not released.
According to Shari Raymond, President of Milton & Goose, “We are thrilled to be moving our operation to Connecticut and are particularly grateful to the town of Monroe for helping us establish this facility. We look forward to bringing jobs and heirloom-quality toys to the area!”
Bruce Wettenstein, SIOR negotiated the lease for Milton & Goose and was the listing broker.
